.... The only wish of the divine mother Goddess is that all beings be spiritually free. The divine Goddess calls us to realize our true nature, to fall in love with our own divinity. Enlightenment is a culmination of many small steps, each one as a drop of water forming a divine ocean of peace, realization, love and unity within us, an ocean that washes away fears, separation and scarcity and bathes us in abundance and bliss. You carry the torch of enlightenmnet within you, beloved. Let it shine each day..... Alana Fairchild as Kuan Yin
Kuan Yin Oracle, by Alana Fairchild, is quickly becoming one of my favorite Oracle decks. I have many decks that I have worked with over the years, each deck, my side kick for my current life guidance. Of all the decks I have ever worked with this one has been the most positive for me. Like the oracle states though, as I will write in a moment, enlightenment comes in small steps and is a culmination of all things, each deck I have worked with has aided me in the time I have needed it, yet this one has launched me ten steps beyond any deck I have worked with in the past.
And for that I wish to share....
.....Sometimes we imagine enlightened beings to be another species to everyday humans. Yet there is an old eastern saying that goes, Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water, after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. Enlightenment is made manifest through the small actions we take each day. Sometimes the smallest action can feel like an enormous leap, and yet when that action is taken, we realize that the journey into peace is something we can choose to take at any moment......
I cant even begin to describe how many levels this resided within me. From not being able to get off the couch and having made that really huge step to do so, look back now and wonder how I even got stuck there because peace is such an easy choice at this moment.
The Chop wood before and again after enlightenment concept is the one I am truly working through now. When ever I get to a place of a spiritual awakening or a lift up I feel so amazing that I want to just sit a revel in the glow for as long as possible. It never works that well for me to stay there however, now I understand why. After a glow moment as I think of my enlightenment moments, I need to keep chopping wood instead of resting and indulging to long in the pride of the new understanding. That, I see only now, as the time I get lost and stuck on my couch. I need to always be moving forward as one of my dear friends has recently taught me.
........ This card is also guidance not to fear if your spiritual path appears to be losing some focus to matters in the day to day world. Your spiritual focus will return when the time is right, but for now, look to what is happening in your life as spiritual practice and trust that you are progressing with perfection. Enlightenment doesn't have to happen in an obvious spiritual place. Our life can be a temple for our souls growth if we are open to it from the heart. Let your heart rest peaceful, knowing that your spiritual light is shining bright and growing deeply........
